Rentals

Caraway Strings offers two payment options: pay a one time fee for the school year, or pay small monthly fees. Both options include insurance against basic wear and tear and free string replacement. All our rental instruments meet the quality standards of the Richardson ISD as well as several surrounding school districts. 

Caraway Strings services only the Richardson, Plano, Garland, and Dallas school districts. For those requesting an instrument outside of this area, please contact us.

Your Rental includes:

• Insurance against normal wear & tear. This includes strings breaking, and any malfunctioning parts.
• Delivery to school for pre-orders.
• Instrument made to your ISD specifications:
  • instrument with all ebony or rosewood fittings & inlaid purfling
  • wood & genuine horsehair bow
  • four fine tuners
  • case, rosin, and ID tag

• Automatic enrollment in a rent-to-own plan, which can apply to your current instrument or others from our inventory.
• Quality strings: all beginner level instruments come with ProArte strings, intermediate level instruments have Dominant or Helicore strings. Be sure to let us know if your teacher requests a specific type of string.

Payment:
You may make a one time payment for the school year, or pay in two payments.  Caraway Strings will offer partial refunds to customers who terminate their rental early.  Your first year of rental ends at the end of the school year. Each following year, your rental is for a 12 month period, starting in June. 

Other Things On Your List:
Caraway Strings offers accessories required for class. We can provide you with your class book, a shoulder rest or rockstop, folding music stand, and cleaning cloth. You may ask for an accessory package for the discounted price of $45.  Please note that these items are for purchase, not for rental.
