We primarily rent to students in the Richardson, Plano, Garland, and Dallas school districts. Outside of that area? Give us a call to request permission.

PAYMENTS

You may make a one time payment for the school year, or sign up for automated monthly payments. Caraway Strings will offer partial refunds to customers who terminate the rental early. Your first year of rental ends at the end of the school year. Each following year, your rental is for a 12 month period, starting in June.

WHAT COMES WITH YOUR RENTAL?

  1. Insurance against normal wear & tear. This includes strings breaking and any malfunctioning parts.

  2. Delivery to school for pre-orders.

  3. Instrument made to your ISD's specifications:

    • instrument with all ebony or rosewood fittings & inlaid purfling, set up by a professional luthier

    • carbon fiber & genuine horsehair bow

    • four fine tuners

    • case, rosin, and ID tag

  4. Free size changes as your student grows.

  5. Automatic enrollment in a rent-to-own plan, which can apply to your current instrument or others from our inventory.

  6. Quality strings: all beginner level instruments come with Chromcor strings, intermediate level instruments have Helicore strings. Be sure to let us know if your teacher requests a specific type of string.
